Place and Promise: The UBC Plan
Welcome. You have entered the University of British Columbia’s (UBC) internet hub for Global Health.
We at UBC recognize the interdisciplinary nature of global health and the desire across all of our faculties to work collaboratively with our international partners in identifying solutions to reduce health disparities and strengthen health equity globally. This, by its very nature, leads to the involvement of an increasingly widened range of disciplines and expertise.
This home page will link you to UBC’s five global health “pillars”. Within each of these pillars readers will find links to additional websites describing global health programs, training opportunities and projects across the UBC campus. This site is meant to create greater awareness of UBC’s global health engagements, facilitate networking, identify synergies and strengthen our and our partner institution capacities to most effectively carry out curriculum development, training, research and service provision internationally.
