A new Online Graduate Certificate in Global Surgical Care was recently approved by UBC Senate Committees and the Board of Governors.
Graduate Certificate in Global Surgical Care (GCGSC)
The Graduate Certificate in Global Surgical Care (GCGSC) is a 12 credit program and is designed to meet the growing need for professional development of students interested in focusing on the global health problem of the burden of unmet surgical care.
Students will be required to take the following four courses:
- SURG 510– Surgical Care in International Health
- SURG 512-Global Disability: A Surgical Care Mandate
- SURG 514-Surgical Care in Humanitarian Disaster Response
- SPPH 540-Program Planning and Evaluation with a surgical care focus
